The mercury fell to 17 in the village of Azad Kashmir

It is raining and snowing in some parts of the country, Azad Kashmir is in the grip of severe cold, where the temperature has dropped to minus 17 degrees. Due to rain and snowfall, the alert is also ongoing. While the frost will decrease in Karachi.

Azad Kashmir

According to the advisory issued by the Meteorological Department, the temperature of Tau Butt, the last village of Azad Kashmir's Neelum Valley, has dropped to minus 17 degrees. A Minus 12 degrees Celsius was recorded at Pir Chinasi and Ganga Peak, two degrees Celsius was recorded in Muzaffarabad, and a negative one was recorded in Rawalkot. Several feet thick layer of snow has also frozen in the upper regions of Azad Kashmir.

Balochistan

Westerly winds causing rain and snow have entered northern Balochistan, while a new round of rain and snow has been predicted in Balochistan from today, Wednesday, January 18. The Rain started in Chaman and the suburbs. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and snow in the mountains in Balochistan on Wednesday, January 18, and Thursday..

According to the Department of Meteorology, till January 18 and 19, different districts of Balochistan Quetta, Zhob, Barkhan, Ziarat, Chaman, Pashin, Nokundi, Dalbandin, Harnai, Qila Saifullah, Qila Abdullah, Muslim Bagh, Kalat, Khuzdar, Turbat, Panjgur and Makran. There is a possibility of rain and snowfall in the coastal areas, while there may be heavy rain in a few places. The PDMA department has informed the citizens to avoid unnecessary travel for the next 2 days.


Rain and snowfall in different areas of North Balochistan, low-lying areas were flooded due to heavy rain in Chaman city and suburbs. Light fog with snowfall on Kojak Top, traffic flow is affected on Quetta Chaman highway and Quetta Zhob highway.
